A Happy Family

A Happy Family

Once there lived a happy family in the field of Grammar. A husband named ‘Noun’ and a wife named ‘Verb’. They had two sons and two daughters. The elder son looked after the family in the father’s absence, so people called him ‘Pronoun’. The younger son was a poet and so he was called ‘Adjective’. He used to describe things. The elder daughter looked after her mother so she was called ‘Adverb’. The other daughter was very sensitive and she always expressed her sudden feelings. ‘Interjection’ was the name she was given. They had a very good friend who helped them to make good relationship with their neighbours and he was called ‘Preposition’. Another relative of the family is ‘Conjunction’ who always welcomed and accommodated the guests and visitors to the family. And so the family lived on happily forever in the field of grammar.
